Deep-steamed Tea
Offering the reliability and stable quality you expect from a specialist tea purveyor.
The first cup of Japanese tea is often said to be about aroma, while the second about flavor. With Deep-steamed Tea, the tea is steamed for 2-3 times longer than usual to produce a single cup with a rich aroma and taste all at once.
Nabeshimameicha is a historic tea purveyor that has spanned five generations and offers a unique aroma, flavor, and cloudy brew in its tea. As specialty purveyors of Deep-steamed Tea, our products have been beloved for over 100 years.
We offer eight types of delicious tea, from our rare, high-grade of single-strain tea, to various proprietary blends that have been favorites of our clients over the generations.
We act as specialist sommeliers and blenders of tea.
Asatsuyu and Seisen are two brands of “fukamushi tea (deep-steamed green tea)” through which you can discern the quality of Nabeshimameicha and get to know us better. We hope that you will be able to try these products and savor their rich aroma, characteristic astringency, and delicate sweetness.

The pinnacle of single-strain tea
Asatsuyu is a rare cultivar harvested in the Honyama area of Kakgegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture.
It offers robust sweetness and flavor, so it is best enjoyed like gyokuro — a little bit at a time.

Expert blending results in the perfect balance We use a proprietary blend of several strains of high-grade Yabukita tea harvested in Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture. This offers an excellent balance of sweetness, astringency, flavor, and color.
